A correct choice of metals and of contact surfaces between the outer ring and the inner guarantees the good operation of the ball joints and good oscillation and rotation characteristics in the presence of high loads. Where there is a high specific pressure it is only possible a non-hydrodynamic lubrication type. For this reason some series are developed adopting a combination of such materials to ensure a self-lubricating maintenance-free operation. The flexible labyrinth rings with a profile sealing surfaces and optimum Shore hardness prevent the entry of dirt between the moving surfaces.
The various types of Rod Ends and Spherical Bearings can meet a wide range of applications, including maintenance-free running “C” with PTFE. The terminals with ball joint type with threaded male or female shaft are characterized by compactness and reduced weight and dimensions. The stem and the seat are made of forged steel or machined (C45) and metric thread. The spherical plain bearings are held in place axially assembled by interference and subsequent rolling of the sides of the terminal itself. Spherical plain bearings and the rod terminals can also be supplied on request in other materials. stainless steel joints that incorporate sealing elements can be provided for use in engineering applications on the high seas, hydraulic steel components for civil engineering and similar applications.
